Necklace for the Teacher

I was so excited to learn to make small rocks and pebbles out of polymer clay! My friend Maria taught me how, and made some of the ones included here. She also suggested using copper beads. I’ve had the stone pendant for a long time, and it seemed to fit. Not a lot of pendants match a necklace made of fake rocks!

Springtime necklace

Not sure why I bought the green and blue glass beads, but they matched the pendant I had, and some cheap glass pendants from the craft store fit right in. A new springtime set.

Mary's Necklace

After lunch one day, my friend Mary and I stopped by Fusion Beads and she picked out this stone pendant. I made a necklace for it with peanut-shaped seed beads and a button clasp.

I had to make another beaded watchband after losing my first one. Also this is the whole Double Diamondback bracelet.

This bracelet stitches up in small squares which are then sewn together. There is kind of an optical illusion effect caused by the multiple bead directions. I have at least three more of these planned.

Double Diamondback Bracelet

Gracing the cover of the June 2013 Beadwork magazine is a stunning pattern designed by Alice Coelho. I stitched up this version, and plan on making many more.

Scrapbook Shell earrings

I went to a craft supply swap and got these raised stickers which are meant for scrapbooking. I stuck them on some cheap shell beads and now they’re my favorite earrings. The sterling silver hooks with the copper ball make it a little fancier.
